Eventhough the chemistry of labelled compounds and general interest in\u00a0radiopharmacy have long tradition in the Czech republic, the education in these fields was held only at the Department of Organic and Nuclear Chemistry\u00a0of the Faculty of Sciences of the Charles University in Prague. Later, the education in\u00a0these fields transferred\u00a0to the Department of Nuclear Chemistry\u00a0of the\u00a0Faculty of Nuclear Sciences and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague<\/a>. Independent research group focused in\u00a0the\u00a0main topic of\u00a0radiopharmaceutical chemistry was founded by\u00a0RNDr. J. Kozempel, Ph.D. starting on \u00a01. January 2013, together with RNDr. M. Vlk, Ph.D., who was\u00a0previously a member of the\u00a0separation chemistry group at the same department\u00a0(both graduated\u00a0at the Faculty of Sciences of the Charles University in\u00a0Prague\u00a0under supervision of Doc. RNDr. Ladislav Le\u0161etick\u00fd, CSc.+<\/sup>). During the\u00a02013 the new laboratory of radiopharmaceutical chemistry opened in a\u00a0rebuilt space and starting from this year, many laboratory instruments and equipment were acquired. The key equipment is located in class I. and II.\u00a0laboratories allowing\u00a0the handling of\u00a0the\u00a0radioactive sources\u00a0(license of the Czech Nuclear authority No.:\u00a025408\/2007<\/a>).
